Let`s go to the Canadian Rockies

Glacier National Park

To be really accurate, this 1350-sq-km park should be called 430 Glaciers National Park , the annual snowfall here can be as much as 23m. Because of the sheer mountain slopes, this is one of the world’s most active avalanche areas .

Yoho National Park

Wapta Falls, Emerald Lake and Natural Bridge over Kicking Horse River Spiral Tunnels (construed in 1909, 1000 men worked 2 years to complete the Spiral Tunnel.

Banff National Park

Fairy Banff looks like a small town made up essentially of hotels, souvenir shops and restaurants all lined up along Banff Avenue. the Banff Springs hotel and its splendid surroundings Johnston Canyon Lake Louise is a jewel of the Canadian Rockies - this little place welcomes an average of about 4.5 milon visitors every year.

Icefields Parkway - HWY 93

Named for the mighty glaciers that flank its west side, the 230km Icefields Parkway between Lake Louise and Jasper is one of the world`s most spectacular drives . The road traces the Continental Divide and connects Banff and Jasper National Parks. Jasper National Park

Jasper a small town of barely 5,000 residents which owes its tourist development to its geographic location. When the Icefields Parkway was opened in 1940, the number of visitors who wanted to discover the regions`s majestic scenery. Jasper remains a decidedly more tranquil and less commercialized destination than Banff . from the town of Jasper we went to take a look at Maligne Canyon and Medicine Lake . On the way we ecountered a bear .
