We took the steamer from Konigstein to Pirna. We could enjoy views of spectacular rock formation towering 194 metres above the Elbe River in the Elbe Sandstone Mountains of Germany. Reaching a height of 305 metres above sea level, the jagged rocks of the Bastei were formed by water erosion over one million years ago. They are situated near Rathen, not far from Pirna southeast of the city of Dresden and are the major landmark of the Saxon Switzerland National Park. They are also part of a climbing and hiking area that runs over border into the Czech Republic and Bohemian Switzerland.

The beautiful little village of Deep Cove at the entrance to Indian Arm, off Burrard Inlet on the North shore of Vancouver.

A hiking trail which is also part of the easternmost section of the Baden Powell Trail, leads to Quarry Rock offering scenic views of Indian Arm.
Baden Powell trail is about 48 km long, extending (west to east) from Horseshoe Bay in West Vancouver to Deep Cove in the District of North Vancouver. I`m thinking of taking this hike next year.

Let`s hit the road.
2 days and nearly 700km. I really enjoyed driving in a beautiful part of BC. Hope, Lytton, Lillooet, Pemberton, Whistler and back to Vancouver

To uz stojime pred Hope(c.1) a ve mestecku na nas ceka Rambo. Pripojuji kratke video pro pripomenuti at nektere fotky dostanou ten spravny naboj hihihi. Asi 7 km od mesta jsou Othello Quintette Tunnels (the rail line do roku 1959). Kdyz vidite kde se tunely nachazi tak klobouk dolu pred Temi kdo je vybudoval. Rambo tam zavital take. Posledni 2 fotecky jsou z Lillooet z druheho dne nasi cesty.

Highway 99 (Sea to Sky) z Lillooet pres Pemberton, Whistler do Vancouver poskytuje neuveritelne scenerie a driving je opravdovym zazitkem. Jen 5` od Lillooet jsme sledovali putovani lososu in Seton River. Samotne jezero Seton Lake(c.3) bylo teprve zacatkem krasne cesty. Duffey Lake, co dodat to je ta Canada z obrazku. Za mesteckem Pemberton byl kratky hike na Nairn Falls a mezi Whistler a Vancouver jsou Shannon Falls (3 nej. in Canada). Uz tento patek jedu do Whistler opet tak fotecky z horskeho mestecka se tu objevi uz brzy.

Po 55`the Grouse Grind(In less than 3km, the trail climbs more than 850m) jsem pokracoval z vrcholu Grouse Mountain na vrchol Goat Mountain. Na rozdil od turisticke atrakce jmenem Grouse Mountain jsme sly krasnou prirodou jen mi dva (Martin a Sévérine). Jsem moc rad, ze jsem Sévérine potkal a myslim, ze to bylo oboustrane. Mila spolecnost a navic setkani s medvedem na hiku, ktery trval 4 hod bylo mozne.

Je na case napsat nejaky ten radek. Vancouver je krasne mesto a nabizi snad vse co si clovek muze prat. Ja si preju to tady aspon trochu poznat a doufam, ze za ten rok neco stihnu protoze tohle kosmopolitni mesto s krasnou prirodou kolem nabizi tolik k videni, ze to bude pekna drina.

Stanley Park (mestsky park) ohranicuje 9 km nabrezi, jenz rocne vyuzije 2,5 milionu chodcu, cyklistu a bruslaru. Jen pro zajimavost tu odhadem roste pres pul milionu stromu a nektere az do vysky 76m. Je tu pres 200km cest a chodniku. Takovy lesik!!!! Jo a ja tam chodim za Myvalama.

Stop Martin!!!! Tohle neni pruvodce. Tak jak tam teda bojujes?
Nejdulezitejsi byla prace a jasny, ze bych si mesto uzival vice s pocitem, ze mam praci ale to nemusim nikomu vysvetlovat. Praci jsme nasel rychle ale skoncilo to driv nez zacalo. Typicka US kuchyn ale Mexico bylo vsude kolem me. I kdyz trosku spanelsky mluvim tak rozhodlo, ze nenosim sombrero a o tom jsem presvedcen. Sefik mi kazdy den rikal neco jineho a pak se mnou prestal uplne komunikovat. Pak se ozval za par dni, ze ma jen part time tak jsem souhlasil a pak zase nic. Ozval se az za tyden, ze si mam vyzvednou penize. It was so funny.
Jsem rad, ze tam nejsem protoze spanelstinu chci pilovat az po Kanade, hihihi.

Ted uz se Marta citi lepe, dostal praci v kavarne (ale trvalo to) tak muze improve his english a to jeste dnes was turned down the position of dishwasher v Recke busy restauraci.

V nedeli jsem uspel v kavarne tak jsem to jel oslavit sportem. Zajel jsem pod Grouse Mountain a tam zacina Grouse Grind http://www.grousemountain.com/Summer/summer-activities/vancouver-bc-hiking-trails-trips/grouse-grind.asp
Uz jsem si to otuknul jak jsem sel na Grouse M. z Downtown. V bezeckym a vodu do ruky a vzhuru na 2.9 km krpal s velkym K. Nahore jsem byl za 44min a dolu mi to trvalo 38 min. Takovy super cas jsem necekal tak uvidim priste, jestli uberu nejakou tu vterinku.

Sledujte blog protoze fotky budou ale psat budu mene, to mi nebavi. Doufam, ze Canadian Rockies a BC cekaji a jestli mi pusti do USA tak i Seattle. Ale jak je znamo bez prace nejsou kolace. Tak drzte palce at tech kolacu mam na vse dost.

Granville Island je odpocinkove misto hned za mostem od Downtown. Granville Market je samozrejmosti ale muzete tam najit i krasny park, trznici pouze pro deti a nebo se tam vyrabi pivo, ktere nese stejny nazev. Granville Island Public Market nabizi tolik dobrot, ze nedoporucuji tam chodit na lacno. Na prvni fotce muzete videt, ze do Downtown bych mozna kamenem dohodil.

Od 1.7. uz nejsem u Jeffa. Nesmirne si vazim vseho co pro me udelal a navic jsem poznal skveleho cloveka a ted uz take mohu napsat a friend of mine.

Tak tady to vse zacalo. Uz jsem tu pres 3 tydny a nejaky souhrn udelam po mesici to Vam slibuju. Jinak jeste jedna sladka snidane a 1l javoroveho syrupu od Jeffa na cestu.

The Grouse Grind Trail je 2.9 km dlouho stezka. 1.5 hod stoupacek.

Believe it or not!!!! Tento vylet mi zabral 10 hod. Pro Jeffa jsem byl trosku blazen ale rozhodl jsem se pokorit the peak of Vancouver po svych uz z Downtown. Po 3.5 hod jsem se dostal pod Grouse Mountain kde zacinala stezka.To byl bonbonek!!!! Muzete se podivat koho jsem videl on the top. Posledni 3 hod prselo ale Martin to nevzdal a zdarne to dokoncil.

Zacnu tim, ze od 1.7 se presouvam do meho noveho pusobiste. Ano, nasel jsem a room. Budu to mit tak 30` do Downtown ale prvni cas mise je hotova tak ted jeste tu praci. Jestli jde o veci mimo praci a hledani bydleni tak to taky nebylo spatne. Party na plazi ve Stanley Parku, spatne americke stravovani (ja burgry tuze rad) vedle stadionu Vancouver Canucks, finale NHL v baru s vasnivymi hokejovymi fanousky a prochazky po Vancouver z moji novou kamaradkou Delphine from Paris. Nemohu zapomenout na Jeffa, je super a moc si vseho vazim. Diky Jeffe!!!! Sushi bylo uchvatne a kanadska snidane a ty puby. Ja nemam slov. I pit jsem zacal taky vic, super!!!! Je videt, ze vi jak ma zlepsit moji anglictinu. Zitra zaziju dalsi narozeninovou party a k tomu barbecue. Uz se moc tesim ale jeste pred tim jdu s Delph do Stanley Park. Krasna priroda kolem Vancouver na me jeste ceka. See you.

El clima, los horarios, el carácter de las personas en España y en la República Checa son muy diferentes. Actualmente numerosas personas provenientes de la Península Ibérica residen en la República Checa. Les preguntamos ¿cómo se adaptaron al estilo de vida de este país y qué opinan sobre los checos?
Los españoles en su mayoría suelen adaptarse rápidamente al estilo de vida en la República Checa, aunque a veces les cuesta un poco acostumbrarse sobre todo a los horarios diferentes, indicó Álvaro, de Vitoria.
"La verdad es que muchas veces, cuando salimos, los checos ya están volviendo para casa. Nosotros somos de estar en una casa tomando una copa, o lo que sea, y salir a eso de la una de la mañana. A esa hora la mitad de los checos ya se han ido a casa, así que cuando vamos con algún amigo, nos dice siempre que es muy tarde, así que acabamos saliendo cuando ellos vuelven".
Los españoles coinciden en que los checos a primera vista dan la impresión de ser personas frías y poco accesibles, según dijo Ángela, de Valencia.
"En general, diría que los checos son gente reservada, pero no es una cosa de los checos, es una cosa del norte de Europa. Supongo que el clima afecta, el salir menos, pero eso solamente en invierno, luego cuando llega el buen tiempo, la gente sale y empieza a sonreír, o sea que es algo climático. Los checos son gente que una vez te conocen y les caes bien y tienes buena relación con ellos. Son gente en la que puedes confiar, y que te van a intentar ayudar en todo y son muy agradables".
Por su parte, Iñaki, de la ciudad de Bilbao, expresó incluso que podría contemplar la posibilidad de quedarse a vivir en este país para siempre.
"Es un sitio que me gusta. Es muy agradable vivir aquí, la gente es muy acogedora, la cerveza es muy buena y las mujeres son muy bonitas, así que no creo que se me hiciese difícil".
Buena cerveza y mujeres guapas, esos son dos rasgos típicos de la República Checa que resaltan los españoles al hablar de este país. Además de ser guapas, las checas son muy conscientes de sus propósitos, opina Ester, de la ciudad de Zaragoza.
"Creo que las mujeres, aparte de que físicamente son impresionantes, tanto las rubias como las morenas, son mujeres que saben lo que quieren, o sea que llevan la batuta en este país".
Los españoles recalcan también la belleza de Praga y de la naturaleza del país en general. Algunos de ellos hacen elogios del ambiente tranquilo de la República Checa, como por ejemplo, Luis Alonso, de la capital española, Madrid.
"Me encanta el silencio de aquí. Nosotros en España somos unos escandalosos y aquí la realidad es disfrutar del silencio y la tranquilidad. Y luego la gran cantidad de zonas verdes que tiene Praga es algo que me gusta mucho. Una cosa maravillosa en este país es la cantidad de bosques y bosques. Cuando vuelvo cada verano a España me dan ganas de llorar. Ver ese paisaje reseco, sin árboles. Pero aquí si sales, es verde, verde y bosques, eso es maravilloso", expresó Luis Alonso.

We have been on the trip in Baena. There is a famous la fabrica de aceite/Nuňo de Prado.
We could not look inside because there was La Feria (slavnost or fiesta). It was a nice day.

Baena is a town of Andalucia, southern Spain, in the province of Córdoba; 32 miles by road south east of the city of Córdoba. Population of the town is 20000 people. Baena is picturesquely situated near the river Marbella, on the slope of a hill crowned with a castle, which formerly belonged to the famous captain Gonzalo de Cordova. Baena is known for producing high quality olive oil.
